Luna is a Peaks Islander who now lives in Portland, Maine – her former mainland. She is a recent graduate of Bowdoin College and has worked on a flower farm, a lobster boat, and an ambulance; in a kindergarten class and a cancer lab; and as a sailing coach and a local news reporter. An unsolicited submission to Outside Magazine became her first published story in 2020. Since then, her writing has frequently appeared in Outside as well as The Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram, Backpacker Magazine, the Bowdoin Magazine, and local newspapers such as the Harpswell Anchor and the Brunswick Times Record.
